Lead Technician, Certified Veterinary Technician
Melissa is a Colorado native and grew up in the Granby/Grand Lake area. After high school she spent a year at Mesa State College for Graphic Art and then decided, when the opportunity arose, to take some time off from school and live in England. Upon returning she spent a year and a half at UCD in Denver studying Music Business. In those 5 years, she discovered an insatiable love for tea and crumpets and perhaps, more importantly, the fact that she is neither an artist or a musician (live and learn!) Her roots and love for all creatures great and small finally planted her in Fort Collins at FRCC to pursue becoming a 3rd generation Veterinary Technician. She graduated from the Vet Tech program in 2008 and has been working at Laporte Animal Clinic since 2009. Apart from that Melissa enjoys living in Fort Collins with her 2 kids Aleighanna and Brandon, traveling, and going to concerts.
Elizabeth is a Colorado native growing up in Fort Collins and Bellvue. She attended Front Range Community College and earned a Certificate in Veterinary Assisting her senior year in High School and is now attending the Front Range to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has always loved animals of all shapes and sizes and hopes to later do work in animal behavior. In her free time, she loves being outdoors hiking, camping, fishing, and paddleboarding or snowboarding.

Hi, my name is Bonnie Carnesecca. I am originally from San Jose, California. I moved to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University. I graduated in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Science with a minor in Business Administration. I have always had a passion for helping animals big and small. I have enjoyed working at Laporte Animal Clinic and have learned so much from Dr.Dean since starting in June 2020. During my free time, I enjoy spending time out at the barn training my American Quarter Horse, fishing, hiking, camping, and going to the dog park with my dog!
Sophie has spent the majority of her life growing up on Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She moved here in 2018 to pursue a degree in Biomedical Sciences and Chemistry at Colorado State University. In the near future, she would like to go to vet school at CSU. Sophie has done extensive research with sheep and cattle for CSU, as well as on bears for Colorado Parks and Wildlife. During the school year, most of Sophie’s free time is spent traveling and competing with the Colorado State University Shotgun Sports team. Besides shooting clays, she is also a member of CSU’s Dog Agility club and likes to read, hunt, and participate in any water sports that she can!
