Melissa is a Colorado native and grew up in the Granby/Grand Lake area. After high school she spent a year at Mesa State College for Graphic Art and then decided, when the opportunity arose, to take some time off from school and live in England. Upon returning she spent a year and a half at UCD in Denver studying Music Business. In those 5 years she discovered an insatiable love for tea and crumpets and perhaps more importantly, the fact that she is neither and artist or a musician (live and learn!) Her roots and love for all creatures great and small finally planted her in Fort Collins at FRCC to pursue becoming a 3rd generation Veterinary Technician. She graduated from the Vet Tech program in 2008 and has been working at Laporte Animal Clinic since 2009. Apart from that Melissa enjoys living in Fort Collins with her 2 kids Aleighanna and Brandon, traveling, and going to concerts.

Halley is a Fort Collins native and is grateful for a close-knit family here in her hometown. Since she was a young girl, her passion for the well-being of animals has led her on many adventures, from volunteering at the W.O.L.F. sanctuary in Rist canyon, to swimming with sea turtles, sea lions and penguins in the Galapagos Islands and Peru. Halley graduated from the Lang Institute for Canine Massage in 2007, and her private practice offers massage, acupressure and aromatherapy for dogs and horses. Halley enjoys addressing animal’s needs holistically. She loves to be outside. She enjoys hiking and camping in the mountains, swimming and tubing down the river and soaking up the sunshine with her family, both two and four-legged.
