Wellness care-"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"
Dr. Dean provides comprehensive medical care for horses. You are welcome to haul your horse to our
facility for care, or have Dr. Dean come to your farm.
Our services include routine preventative care such as vaccinations, health certificates, and Coggin's
testing.
Dr. Dean is experienced in lameness evaluations, nerve blocks, etc(and can follow up with corrective
trimming and shoeing if needed-refer to our page on equine farriery), reproductive care such as palpation,
ultrasonography and consultation, treatment of colics, lacerations and other emergencies. He routinely
performs specialized services such as joint injections. Radiography is available either on your farm or on a
haul-in basis. Geriatric horses often need special care, and Dr. Dean is available for consultation on
nutritional needs, as well as bloodwork testing and dental examinations on your older horse.Dentistry is a
special interest of Dr. Andrew (see our equine dental page)
